Reminder that if one or more of your teams were washed out last Saturday November 23 in a two day match without a ball bowled you need to apply for permission to play this coming Saturday as a one dayer. This is covered under Regulation: 6.2.6. Applications must be in before 8pm tonight to the Pennant Chairman (Phyl Wild - email@example.com) with a cc copy to Jan: firstname.lastname@example.org.

Reminder from GCA to clubs RE Games washed out Day 1 of a two day fixture
All clubs that did not take the field on Saturday, the first day of a two day fixture; where the day has not been cancelled by GCA, clubs need to apply in writing to GCA management, via Jan Nowicki, for permission to play a One Day match on the second Saturday.

All Turf clubs,
With the GCA Grounds Committee determining that turf wickets were going to be too under-prepared due to the poor weather last week, this week, round 4 shall be played as a One Day Match, therefore all One Day Match rules shall apply, and games shall start at 12:15pm, with clubs to wear full colours and use a white ball in 1st XI matches.

All Turf Club,
Due to the poor weather throughout the week, and number of clubs that have indicated they can not get on their wicket, all turf cricket has been cancelled for this weekend, 26th October 2013. This round shall be completed as a One Day Match next week, 12:15pm start time. All hard wicket cricket to go ahead as scheduled at this stage.

Division 2 4ths & Division 3 3rds games will start at 12:30pm this Saturday, Round 1. 30 minutes early due to day light savings.

Just a reminder of a couple of items prior to Saturday's start of the season.
All games to start at 11:45am - 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, due to day light savings, round 1 only.
Despite the poor weather around this last few weeks, GCA grounds committee still anticipates that most turf wickets will be available for play. Thank-you to clubs and curators for the effort that has been put in, and thanks to those that have already made contact with the grounds committee with issues or for advice. Please note, Graeme Scannell's number is 0417 301 043, not as printed in the book.
All Stat Dec's for Professional Players need to be recieved prior to Saturday. Please email Phyl Wild with who your club's Professional Player is if you have one. Also requests for approval of overseas players are now overdue, as are requests for former Professional Players to be returned to Amateur status.
Player Points tables have only been recieved from 7 of 36 1st XI clubs. Get these to Dave ASAP.

Umpires have advised that a few have come back, so their numbers are a little better. If an Umpire is appointed to a Division 1, 2XI game, then Club Appointed Umpires will not be required, with square leg to be done by a participant in the match. Club Appointed Umpires standing a match are required to be attired in a White shirt with the provided GCA Umpire yellow vest (Home club to provide both vests), black pants or club shorts and shoes.
Only 1st XI games to be played with a white ball and coloured clothing. All other games to be played with Red ball & Whites/Creams.
